Revive Somalia Health Care

Our Mission

In the face of decades of civil war, extreme food insecurity, and natural disasters, Somalia’s health system is in dire need of support. Our mission at Global Hearts for Health is to address these critical challenges by providing emergency and life-saving health supplies, ultimately strengthening Somalia's healthcare infrastructure and improving the quality of care for its people.

The Crisis in Somalia

Somalia has endured prolonged civil conflict, resulting in the displacement of 2.6 million people and a severely weakened healthcare system. With only one government hospital in the capital, Mogadishu, and limited private facilities, many Somalis are left without access to affordable and adequate medical care. This crisis has led to high child and maternal mortality rates, exacerbated by widespread malnutrition and frequent disease outbreaks.

Key Issues:

  • Healthcare Access: Limited facilities and high costs leave many without necessary treatment.

  • Malnutrition: Severe food insecurity has led to stunted growth and development.

  • Infrastructure Damage: Civil war and natural disasters have destroyed essential health services.

Our Goal

1. Emergency Health Supplies

We are committed to delivering critical medical supplies and emergency care to those in urgent need. Our goal is to fill the gaps in Somalia’s health system and provide immediate relief to affected communities.

2. Strengthening Health Infrastructure

By working with local partners, we aim to support and rebuild health facilities, enhance healthcare delivery, and ensure more sustainable access to medical care.

3. Addressing Malnutrition

We will provide nutrition support to combat severe malnutrition, helping to improve overall health and development for vulnerable populations, especially children.
